On Sunday, June 29, Holy Cross voted as a congregation to enter into an intentional partnership with Highlands and to welcome Highlands to rent space in their building. This vote followed Highlands' vote on Sunday, June 8 to re-locate to Holy Cross Lutheran Church at 4500 Wadsworth Blvd, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033 & to also enter into an intentional partnership with Holy Cross.
At both Highlands' & Holy Cross' congregational meetings, the congregations voted to empower the Transition Team (Holy Highlanders) consisting of members from both congregations to prayerfully create a Community Covenant of Partnership with one another. This team anticipates offering this Community Covenant to both congregations to review & provide feedback on by the Fall.
This move & partnership follows great work and conversation that has taken place over the last four months between the two congregations. Thank you to the Highlands and Holy Cross Councils, Executive Teams, & Transition Teams for their attentive & creative spirits during this time!
Our last service at our current location (7375 Samuel Drive) will be Sunday, July 13th at 10am.
Our first service at our new location (Holy Cross Lutheran Church at 4500 Wadsworth Blvd, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033) will be Sunday, July 20th at 10am.
We look forward to settling into this new space over the summer and celebrating (throwing a party!) at the end of the Summer.
See you on Wadsworth on Sunday, July 20th!
With hope and anticipation,
Pr. Samm
