Youth Happenings at Highlands Lutheran ChurchFrom the Director of Children and Youth Ministry–
As we approach Thanksgiving and a time of harvest, I am encouraged to reflect on the practice of gratefulness – for if we spend our thinking power and energy focusing on what we do not have or what is causing us tension, it is possible to overlook the many gifts and joys that are around us every day. I believe that the ability to choose our perspective on our own life is one of the greatest gifts we’ve been given. We have God’s love, and we have each other, and I would say this leaves us in a situation of abundance. Let us continue to regard our wealth of life and spirit as a precious treasure and to respond to it in a way that expresses our thanks.
Happy Thanksgiving and may God’s peace that passes all understanding be with you.
